Northern Skies Aviation is a full service aviation company providing charter flights for recreational and professional needs. We cater to individuals and companies interested in hiring us for scenic flights, personal charter, land survey, remote location access, and VIP corporate services.  We also charter out of Billings Logan International Airport or an airport near you. If you need us, we’ll be there to pick you up!

We are also an FAA approved Flight School for airplane flight training and helicopter pilot training schools.  Train with one of our professional instructors to learn the basics of beginning piloting, or earn your commercial pilot’s licenses.

In need of a repair or annual maintenance? Our team is staffed with four certified maintenance technicians to handle annual inspections, general maintenance, and major repairs.  We maintain our own fleet of fixed wing Cessnas and helicopters and regularly maintain aircraft for our clients.

Kent and Stephanie Potter started Northern Skies in 1994 with 1 Super Cub and a dream to share their passion of flight in the Big Sky Country of Montana.  Today they operate five fixed wing aircraft and two helicopters for both charter and flight training.

Located just west of Montana’s largest city, Northern Skies Aviation operates out of the Laurel Municipal Airport.
